Difference between Plain bar and Deformed bar

The difference between plain bar and deformed bar. Plain bars are those bars in which there are no ribs on the surface of the bars, due to this, they don't provide sufficient friction between concrete and steel and hence they don't provide good bond strength between concrete and steel. While deformed bar are those which have ribs on their surfaces and due to these ribs they provide good friction and good bond strength.
